Hi dolls!
I’m so late to the party! I know this product has received so many reviews and first impressions, so I decided to try it out for myself! I have to say that I have a love-hate relationship with this concealer.

Product: Maybelline Instant Age Rewind Concealer: $8.99 (Prices vary, but ULTA always has discounts!)

PROS: Feels like foundation, thick coverage for annoying pimples/redness, and thankfully, it feels like you have nothing on!
CONS: Hate the applicator, like soooo much! This might be a personal thing, but I don’t like twisty tubes or that the applicator is a sponge. I feel like you don’t know how much product you’re actually getting out. There aren’t that many shades, so if you’re a darker skin tone, it could be hard to find the shade that matches you best.

I’m not gonna lie, I was a little terrified to post a photo of me with a huge pimple on the Internet! I do this for you! LOL. Seriously, what better way to test out this product, which is meant for concealing. However, this product mostly claims to cover up dark circles and redness, so I was hoping it would cover up the planet on my chin!

Like I said earlier, I hate the applicator and the twisty top. Not my favorite, but not the worst either. It’s hard for me to tell how much product I’m getting because the sponge sort of soaks it all up, and I can’t twist it too much or else I’ll make a mess.

I love that this product is thick, yet feels weightless. I’m definitely one of those beauty girls who HATES to feel cakey. My oily skin does not react well to too much product. So it’s nice to have a concealer that covers, but that also doesn’t feel like frosting on your face.

With that being said, this concealer tends to crust if your face is dry. In my blemish area, I used a nightcream that usually dries out the pimple. So for the rest of the day, I noticed that my chin was more dry compared to most days, and the concealer sort of became crusty. Surprisingly, this product works well with oily skin. My under eyes looked flawless.

Overall, I would probably purchase this concealer again. It’s definitely not my favorite and it’s not the first concealer I grab, but it does work.

Hope this helped lovelies! If you’ve tried this product, I want to hear from you! xoxo
