Face Washes That Actually Get the Job Done (Unlike KylieSkin)

Face Wash

Who knew a face wash could cause so much controversy?

Last week, Kylie Jenner took to social media to show off her latest beauty product: KylieSKin Foaming Face Wash.

Harmless, right? Wrong.

All hell broke loose when she shared a video demonstrating the skincare product. She not only washed her face for about 5 seconds (a no-no!), but she used a Snapchat filter the whole time, which defeated the purpose of showing off her skincare item.

What’s more? Loads of foundation residue were left on her washcloth. No bueno.

All in all, it was a hot mess and many skincare devotees (myself, included) couldn’t help but eye-roll at the whole thing. “Imagine buying face wash from someone who doesn’t even know how to wash their face properly,” a Twitter user commented underneath Kylie’s video. OKAAAAY!

Face Washes

The point of Kylie’s backstory (and this story) brings me to this: There are actually great faces washes out there. Unlike KylieSkin, there are plenty of cleansers that get the job done. Because if a face wash can’t get rid of foundation (which is the most basic thing to remove, unlike eye products or liquid lipsticks), then what the hell is it good for? We are not working hard to spend our money on bad skincare. Not in 2019!
