Date Night Makeup That Will Have Everyone Green With Envy

Date Night Makeup

Since having a new work schedule (I work Saturday through Wednesday now), I’ve valued my date nights a lot more. Going out for dinner, getting drinks or hanging out with my husband is a lot more precious to me since I’m working most of the day on weekends. So when we both get a chance to wind-down and do something together, I appreciate that time a bit more.

With that, that means I also like getting dolled up. Because I work from home on the weekends and am off two days during the week, it’s easy to get into this slump of working and lounging in my pajamas. So having an excuse to look extra cute is always nice.

And since I love playing up my eyes, I’ve been obsessed with green shimmer shadows lately. It makes my brown eyes pop, and also gets me out of my comfort zone. Plus, I hear incorporating “green” into your daily life attracts money.

Whether or not that’s, I wanted to share the glam yet totally achievable date night lewk I’ve been rocking over the last few weeks.

PS: I only focused on an eye tutorial for this. I had already applied foundation, concealer and powder (I added bronzer and blush last).

Finessing the Eyes

For this look, I used three shadows—two being from the Anastasia Beverly Hills Sultry Eyeshadow Palette and the other being the ColourPop Miss + Bliss Super Shock Shadow (looks like it’s only available in a vault). For the crease, I popped on the shadow Twig from the ABH palette and then added Ember to give it a more bronzy, shimmery effect.

Also, I want to point out that I already applied liner to my lower lash line (Pixi Beauty Bronze Beam) and mascara  to my bottom lashes as well (L’Oréal Unlimited Mascara).

on to the fun part: green shimmer shadow

Once I blended the loose shadows on my crease, I pressed the ColourPop shadow on my lid. I mainly patted it in the center and blended it out to the outer and inner corner. I find using my fingers gives me the best results—the pigment is always vibrant and it’s less messy.

Finishing Touches

To complete my eye look, I added two coats of the L’Oréal mascara and filled in my brows with my holy grail—Benefit’s Precisely, My Brow. I topped everything off with the Benefit Roller Liner Liquid Eyeliner (in brown).

Final Look

To complete my makeup, I added Benefit’s Galifornia Blush, Too Faced’s Sun Bunny Natural Bronzer and Essence’s Glow to Go Highlighter. For the lips, I used the Charlotte Tilbury Hot Lips 2 Collection in Jk Magic and popped on the nude gloss from Fenty Beauty’s Fenty Glow.

I love that it’s a simple but totally fun makeup look!
